Käsmu Merekool Plaster Model 1

I made a model. I quite like it.

Morphosis (& Kultureflash)

For those who didn't already know, Morphosis won the Pritzker Prize this year.
Click on the image above for some good photos of their latest project. I'm not sure what the big "100" is for, but it's pretty cool.
The Guardian have done a good interview with Thom Mayne.

I got the photos above from Kultureflash which is, in many ways, my favourite thing on the web right now. In fact, the only reason it's not my absolute favourite thing on the web is that I never get time to do or see any of the things it mentions. Sigh.

Keane: Live at Islington Academy

A friend won a couple of tickets to see Keane play at Islington Academy last night. It's a tiny venue for a band this big. Amazing to get so close.

The last track (Bedshaped) was being filmed for Red Nose Day so they gave us plastic noses to wear. In the end, everyone just waved them on the end of their fingers.

Then they dropped red confetti all over the place.

The photos turned out far better than I expected.

Fielden Clegg revealed

They've taken down the scaffolding on the Fielden Clegg building over the road from the Bartlett. I quite like it.

Click on the picture above for a cameraphone photo of the massive crane that was parked up in Gordon Street today. Pretty damned big!

The Gates in the snow

Ooohhh... pretty!

New Globe NYC... Foster Blog?

Take a look at the blog for the New Globe Theatre in New York. It's run by the people who want to see this building built. At the moment, the New Globe is only one of many proiposals for the site.

A lot of their images and info have come from Fosters (as they would, really). I can't help but think that this could be a very good way of starting a cheap, grassroots movement in support of the scheme. If I was at Fosters and that kind of blog didn't exist for the project, I think I'd just start it up myself. Advertising by stealth.

Governor's Island sounds like an interesting place. Here's a picture of it's Burger King!
