Bartlett School Of Architecture: Prison T-shirts

Here's something I've been meaning to do for years now: I've finally got some stuff up at Cafe Press. Given the strength of the £ against the dollar, a $20 t-shirt is actually only £15-ish, and that includes international postage.

I'll be sticking some different designs up there at somepoint. For the moment, I think the HMP Bartlett range says it all!

The unlondon t-shirt is one of the designs The Bear and I were playing around with last summer. The 48 Queens pillow is for the 6 Kings of 2001 - 2002. I think we'll all need to have one!

DBD

Got up at 5am to drive to the airport. Got lost. Eventually made it there roughly on time. Drove back to #99 for breakfast, then on to DBD. Big lunch. Lots of presents to open. Went for a walk. Saw people returning from a hunt. Drove back to #99. Train back to London. Bed.

LONG day. Fun, but long.

Baroque Radiator

I know I normally only post my own pictures here, but I saw this and thought "wow, that needs to be seen".
The picture above is of a modular radiator system by a designer called Joris Laarman. It was his graduation piece from design school. It's now being sold by Droog.
Stunning. And practical too: the baroque styling apparently increases the surface area, thus providing greater heat trasfer.

You'd think that if you turned up unannounced at an academic institution on Sunday 2nd January you'd find locked doors. Not at the Lyme Regis Boat Building Academy. What kind of people stop what they're doing and give you a tour on a Sunday? They do.

Took far too many pictures and will now waste lots of time stitching them all together. Fun.
