80s Skiwear Christmas Party

What a GREAT theme for a party:
1980s
Christmas
Skiwear
It's so precise, but leaves so much room for interpretation!

This needs to be done every year. Any opportunity to repeatedly play Robert Palmer, Christmas songs AND "We Built This City On Rock & Roll" is a very good thing.

Well Done, the boys.

Christmas Parties: Indoor + Outdoor

Went to my office Christmas party yesterday lunch time. The Boss kindly fed us a lot of alcohol and generaly provided a great set-up. Got really rather drunk with the usual suspects then had to go to the Bartlett barbeque at 9pm. Messy, but necessary.

The barbeque was pretty impressive. I've no idea who has the time to get it all organised. For that one night in winter, and another in summer, the basement workshop becomes a really great venue. There's a glitterball and everything. Nice.

Carol Singing + Christmas Drinking

Did the old school carol singing thing last night. It was actually really good to see everyone and find out how the last 7 years have treated them. Also interesting to see what the current students are like. They seemed an alright bunch.

Camp Pirates

Went to see Pirates Of Penzance at the ENO. Kept on calling it Pirates of the Caribbean. Very embarrassing.

Those are some seriously camp pirates.

Unit 22 Christmas External Crit

Had our end of term external crits today (a crit is a project review). I ended up going first. It went pretty well, actually. Being Peter's friends, the critics were all very nice and all comments were constructive rather than egotistical. NOTHING like a crit at Newcastle!

Anyway. It's been a long day. I need a drink. Then I need my bed.
